PETA: Emblazoned with the slogan "Meat on Your Grill Equals Oil Spill," PETA's airplane-towed banner will fly over downtown Mobile from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. PETA's point? That raising animals for food causes environmental devastation on a massive scale and that oil spills--such as the one now spreading off the U.S. Gulf Coast following the explosion of an offshore oil rig--can be blamed in large part on the oil-guzzling meat industry.
