People often ask why, when evaluating the reason someone decides to run for President, even when they have no chance of ever winning.
Some surprise with a stronger showing than expected, others usually fade away hoping for lesser roles with the frontrunner.
But no candidacy has been more perplexing than that of former Vice President Mike Pence, who announced his campaign's suspension Saturday.
Once Donald Trump's more traditional political figure on the ticket, he has since been reviled by the MAGA crew. He has been blamed for not acting in the former President's best interest. MAGA would never vote for him.
On the other side of his Party, Republicans who are not fans of Trump and unhappy with initial allegiance. They would never support him.
