Dallas Morning News: Good and bad news today for Texas Gov. Rick Perry out of California - a state he loves to use as a punching bag when making points about his approach to state budgets and economic growth. More of the California electorate views Perry unfavorably (25 percent) than favorably (18 percent). That's the bad news for Perry as he weighs a presidential bid, in data released this afternoon by the well-regarded Field Poll. And to be fair, the poll found predominantly negative views of most of the current or potential GOP presidential contenders (There were two exceptions: Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani.)
