In a series of tweets, President Trump claimed conservatives are being censored by social media companies. He also took the opportunity to slam CNN and MSNBC, which he said he watches “with a grain of salt” or “[doesn’t] watch at all.” Trump wrote, “Social Media is totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices. Speaking loudly and clearly for the Trump Administration, we won’t let that happen. They are closing down the opinions of many people on the RIGHT, while at the same time doing nothing to others…” Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey claimed Sunday on CNN’s Reliable Sources that the company does not ban people for political viewpoints, even while admitting Twitter has a “left-leaning” bias. Meanwhile, Facebook has issued an apology after it removed content from Prager University’s Facebook page, prompting the organization to claim “we’re being heavily censored.” The posts removed talked about Israel’s right to exist and posited that the Paris Climate Accord doesn’t help the earth.
