As usual, the accurate story concerning fired CNN boss Jeff Zucker is not being told. Like a losing football coach, Zucker saw his team descend into last place and had no answers. His personal life really doesn't matter. CNN could have suspended him, and he and Whoopi Goldberg could have had dinner in a swell Manhattan restaurant.

But the new owners of CNN, who take control in a few months, wanted no part of Jeff Zucker and why would they? He knows little about news coverage and doesn't care. He's an entertainment guy.

He likes money and power. Fairly presented information, not so much.

So, Chris Cuomo must be feeling pretty good. Zucker fired him for helping his brother out on the air after Governor Andrew Cuomo got into trouble. Of course, Zucker knew exactly what his 9 pm host was doing just like everyone at CNN knew about Zucker's personal resume.

Yes, the TV news industry is largely corrupt these days.

I hope CNN will reorganize and begin covering the news in an honest way. I hope. But I doubt it. The people replacing Zucker are all devoted liberals as he is. You have to be in order to get into the media clubhouse for cocktails.

We can expect some tweaks and nods toward harder news coverage but not too much. CNN's on-air talent is largely progressive, and they can't fire everybody.

Not that I care but Zucker will not be unemployed for long. A left-wing entertainment company will hire him because he's friends with many of those people. Remember the cocktails.

But he'll never do news again.

Not that he did before.
