Rochester schools' reading list includes rapper's book

WHEC-TV: The Rochester City School District changed it's summer recommended reading list to appeal to students. However, at least one of the books on that list has some asking if the district went too far. The memoir is by gangster rapper 50 Cent. He's known for his controversial lyrics. Reverend Marlowe Washington cannot figure out why school officials would recommend the book, "From Pieces to Weight."
50 Cent, whose birth name is Curtis Brown, writes about a life of drugs, sex and violence.
