WNBA star Brittney Griner is concerned. She's been locked up in Russia since February for allegedly having "cannabis oil" and it appears the Biden administration is dragging its feet on negotiating her release.
Who knows if that's true, but since she's been detained another hostage has been released and there was a very public and embarrassing report last month regarding Griner missing a scheduled phone call with her wife because no one picked up the phone at the U.S. embassy.
That's a pretty big deal when you haven't spoken to a loved one in months.
The U.S. basketball star released a letter on July 4th letting everyone know that she appreciates America's freedom now more than ever since her detainment while also pleading with President Biden not to forget her.
One could argue that if Russia respected the Biden administration a deal would already be done.
