It is now becoming clear that Senate Democrats are not going to cooperate in any tax cut legislation designed by Republicans.  Minority leader Charles Schumer from New York has made things clear: no tax cuts for any affluent Americans.  Also, Senator Schumer has issued instructions that any federal tax cut that would add to the federal deficit will be opposed.

    

That most likely includes all business tax cuts.

    

45 out of 48 Democrats in the senate are towing Schumer's line because they fear old Chuck.  He can make their lives miserable.

    

Obviously, this is the same strategy that killed health care reform.  The Democratic Party well knows that President Trump will be crippled if tax cuts fail.

    

So a nasty brawl is shaping up and if Republicans in the senate do not stick together, they will lose.

    

And so will working Americans who deserve a tax cut.
