Slightly more than half of millennials say they will most likely vote in the 2018 midterm elections in November, according to a poll conducted July 28 through Aug. 13. While 55 percent of millennials, those born between 1981 and 1996, say they definitely or probably will vote in the midterm elections, 25 percent are unsure, and 19 percent say they definitely or probably will not vote, according to an NBC News poll released Wednesday. Of those millennials surveyed, 59 percent say they hope the midterm elections will lead to the Democrats taking control of Congress, and only 17 percent approve of Trump’s job as president. The majority of the generation, 57 percent, disapprove of the way Congress is operating. However, the results of the poll show that millennials do not have a strong tendency to get involved in politics. Only 14 percent say they have written or called their representative in the past year.
