Can we give the Hitler comparisons a break?

Hitler set a high bar with Nazi Germany regarding pure evil and general awfulness.

At this point in history, during the modern era, it's hard to say anyone is as bad or worse than Hitler. His attempt to eliminate a race of people, racial ideology, and the number of casualties left in the wake of his chaotic madness are hard to measure up to.

So when you compare someone to this madman, you essentially lose all credibility, and your points are dismissed because everything we're dealing with now is hard to compare to that.

I disagree with Canada's Justin Trudeau but to make the leap to Hitler. That's a little bit much.
