Tom Luicci/The Star-Ledger: As delighted as trainer Bob Baffert was with The Factor's romp in Saturday's 1 1/16 miles Rebel Stakes - a victory that proved the colt could handle two turns and go beyond 7 furlongs - the result probably meant as much to fellow trainer Nick Zito. He has a dead closer in Dialed In, a horse that needs a fast early pace. If The Factor makes it to the Kentucky Derby, there's the assurance of that, since the horse knows only one way to run: as hard and as fast as he can for as long as he can. Trainers with closers of all types were rejoicing over The Factor's latest performance. It will be interesting to see how Uncle Mo deals with another legitimate speedster, too.
