My cousin was a hero in the Vietnam War, fighting the North Vietnamese at the Cambodian border. He walked point in the bush with a German Shepherd and saw terrible things, including the deaths of his fellow American soldiers.

On this Memorial Day as we honor slain military people, Americans of good will should consider just how many billions of people all over the world enjoy better lives because of the individual sacrifice of US military persons.

And after that, please think about the misguided Americans (and the corrupt corporate media that enables them) which are invested in portraying the USA as a terrible country.

Talk about terrible.

Plenty of smart, honest news analysis on the site today. Also, an excerpt from “Killing the Mob,” the best selling non-fiction book in the world.

Enjoy the day. See you tomorrow for the No Spin News.
