It’s very simple: the billionaire is rarely challenged in his world.  He runs a private company, not subject to scrutiny by anyone. It’s Bloomberg’s highway, and he’s the lone vehicle on it.
 
Rich people can isolate themselves and avoid just about all of life’s confrontations. That’s what Mayor Mike has done and he’s paying a price now that he’s entered the most confrontational industry in the world: presidential politics.
