To no one's surprise, the ladies hosting the almost gone Academy Awards broadcast immediately virtue-signaled over the new Florida "don't teach little kids things they can't possibly understand" law.
It is not true that Florida has another law in the works called "You Can Say Gay if it Makes You Happy, "... and you're not in a position of brainwashing 5-year-olds.
ABC carries the Oscar telecast, and ABC is owned by Disney, the most woke of corporations. The House of Mouse is deeply invested in shaping America, so it reflects the values of Sunset Boulevard.
I still cannot believe a top Disney executive said publicly that she has rejected brilliant scripts because they were written by white men.
Remember that? Wasn't Walt Disney white? I guess his vision would have hit the waste paper basket were he alive today.
Now don't get me wrong. I have no problem with diversity and inclusion as long as it's accompanied by honesty and merit. And diversity has to include Caucasians. Sorry, Disney Corporation.
I didn't watch the Academy Awards because it's largely pretentious. It's not fun; no one is having a good time. The audience is too busy thinking up ways of being woke. The three hosts might think they are very noble individuals. But they are certainly not looking out for the kids.
And somewhere out there - Walt Disney knows it.
All Americans should support an equal pursuit of happiness for everyone. And if oppression happens, we fight that.
But young children deserve a childhood devoid of complication and indoctrination. And their parents should not have their authority eroded by woke fanatics in the classroom.
That's the message I'd like someone to deliver at the Oscars. Then, I might watch it again.
Tonight on the No Spin News, I'll deal with the Will Smith-Chris Rock incident. It's symptomatic of something much deeper in Hollywood. See you beginning at six eastern.
