Two weeks before the midterm vote and both sides are apprehensive. For Trump supporters the President’s agenda is at stake, for the left everything is on the line. Should Republicans keep both houses in Congress, the progressive movement will be dealt a tremendous blow.

At this point, it looks like the Grand Old Party will secure the Senate and add to its majority; perhaps two seats.

The House is impossible to predict because there are so many races where money rules. The Democrats should pick up some seats but it’s a dice roll if they’ll win a majority.

President Trump’s approval rating is on the rise and that means independents are more friendly to him. Impossible to say whether that will translate into Republican votes.

The migrant march in Mexico will likely help the GOP as Democrats seem to support allowing thousands of foreign nationals into the country without much supervision.

I believe the majority of Americans oppose that open border play.
