San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler's misguided anthem protest in the wake of the Uvalde shooting is already being walked back in a way as the Giants manager decided to not offend those who have lost their lives serving their country on Memorial Day.
Many other managers, excluding Tony LaRussa, gave support to Kapler's right to protest. LaRussa believes the anthem isn't a place for protest.
Kapler is upset, as the whole nation should be with Uvalde.
The fact is we have a problem in this country. Now is not the time to put on a show for voters like Beto O'Rourke or parse over factors like mental illness.
Kids have been murdered. Now is not the time for politics.
