LOSING POWER? With the surprise upset of the Democratic Senate candidate in Massachusetts, is the Obama administration losing power?
"President Obama's observation that Massachusetts voters are mad about what's happened over the past eight years is absurd. If they were mad at the Bush administration, they would have voted for Coakley." Gerald Millward Mesa, AZ
"The election results should alert President Obama and the Democrats in Congress that Americans are not only clinging to their guns and Bibles, but also a copy of the Constitution." Ken Josephic Jamestown, PA
"Are established Republicans wise enough to stop swimming in the pork barrel? This vote wasn't about liking them, it was about wanting change." Dick Daniels Poulsbo, WA
"The good news is Obama will only tax the rich for all his projects like health care. The bad news is after a year of Obama, rich is now defined as anyone left with a job." Dean Furkioti Redondo Beach, CA
"Obama will continue to push his socialist agenda in spite of Scott Brown's victory because he's a progressive committed to changing this country." Robin Goodspeed Portland, OR
"Of course the Obama administration is losing power. It's being transferred to we the people." Greg Fiscus Burlington, WA
"Dick Morris is off base when he says the Republicans are gaining power. It's not the Republicans; it's the people. We're making our voices heard." Randal Murallo Waterford, CT
"The smartest thing Obama could do about health care is to let the hardliners like Pelosi cram the bill through, then veto it. He could shift blame and save face." Daniel Mackintosh Toronto, Canada
MISSING IN HAITI Two parents of missing American girls in Haiti criticize the military's relief efforts in the earthquake zone.
"You missed the American parents' whole point. The military should have prioritized U.S. citizens in the search and rescue mission." Dr. Joe Whitaker Tampa, FL
"I'm sorry for the sadness of those parents. However, they can't compare the JFK Jr. search off America's coast to a search in a third world country." Terri Devlin Escondido, CA
"I usually think of you as a crusader, but last night, I thought you were a little cold talking to the parents of the missing American girls in Haiti. You can't possibly know their pain." Dana Boynton Toms River, NJ
"It is arrogant to assume the U.S. military can swoop into a country and rescue Americans overnight. There are hundreds of thousands of people in desperate need in Haiti." Mark Farage Memphis, TN
"God bless the U.S. military, but they can't rush into another country and take over. My heart goes out to those parents, but they need to be reasonable." Caroline Silva East Longmeadow, MA
"Excellent job handling those parents. Their sad story needed to be told. I immediately called my kids to tell them I love them." Alfred Martin, M.D. Atlanta, GA
"You didn't treat the families of those missing girls with the empathy they deserved. They have a right to be upset with the process." Jenn Osborne Annville, PA
"I understand their children are missing, but don't blame the military. After back-to-back-to-back deployments, they too are at a breaking point." June Byrd Clarksville, TN
GETTING PERSONAL New FNC analyst Sarah Palin enters the no spin zone to talk about what she does in her downtime from politics.
"Poor city boy. You really should come visit Alaska and hang out with us. Yes, we eat moose and caribou." Andy McGavran Port Lions, AK
"Sarah sounds like my kind of woman! She's fit, hunts, loves the outdoors and is conservative. Too bad she's 25 years older than me and married." Sean Porterfield Hillsboro, NH
"There is no need to exert yourself with a 2-on-1 basketball game against the President. I think Sarah Palin could take him 1-on-1." Dan Balzer Yoakum, TX
"Just defend against Obama's moves to the left during your basketball game. He'll never move to the right!" Alan Douglas Louisville, KY
"The fact that Sarah Palin would cut her Hawaiian vacation short because her stay was disrupting other guests explains why most Americans love her. She is considerate of others." James Johnson Enterprise, AL
"Instead of watching you play basketball with Sarah Palin, I'd rather watch you try to run six miles with her." Eugene Khaylomsky Amherst, NY
"Sarah Palin is a people magnet and a breath of fresh air! Fox News just got even better." Pat Wolanski Worcester, PA
"When are you going to stop interviewing Sarah Palin and start asking her to analyze current events? I thought she was hired as a commentator, not a celebrity guest." Kathleen Thrift Camarillo, CA |
