The Hindsight Assault on President Trump
Today we begin another week of contagion fallout with accusations that President Trump should have acted sooner to shut down the country and because he did not, things are far worse than they might be.

The despicable Jake Tapper baited Anthony Fauci into implying that yesterday so here we go.

Doctor Fauci is correct in believing that had the federal government done what San Francisco did in February, order social constraints, virus casualties would be fewer today.  But the doctor also knows that there was conflicting information about the contagion and that no other world leader took micro-action before March.

The tension was clear: as soon as pandemic shutdowns happened, economies would crash.  Which is exactly what occurred.

The BS “hindsight” assault on the Trump administration completely ignores geo-political reality: the World Health Organization was asserting in February that the contagion could be contained without shutting down countries and commerce. There were two sides to the matter and the USA did not want a national economic disaster if it could be avoided.

Is that an unreasonable position?

President Trump should NOT publicly chastise Dr. Fauci but should privately advise him to avoid speculation, which the Doctor embraces, and provide context when answering hostile questions from people like Tapper who seek to harm the administration.

My new column posted on this site clearly lays out the political component of the contagion.  I hope you read it, as well as watch a very important No Spin News tonight.
