Hope you saw the
No Spin News yesterday and hope you
read my column, which ignited some controversy. Today, I have a simple question because I am a simple man: who is the better friend? A person who tells you the truth or a person who says what you want to hear?
As a father, I have a moral responsibility to tell my children the truth. As a journalist who provides a service directly to you - my obligation is pretty much the same.
Our coverage on the election and its aftermath was and is accurate, fair, and fact- based. I reported that the candidate who won Pennsylvania, would be president.
I also told you there was fraud in Pennsylvania but that the judicial system there would not overturn the vote. Both statements are accurate.
The essence of some anger towards me is that “I have given up.” That I have “accepted” the defeat of President Trump. I truly don’t process things that way.
Reality is sometimes brutal. But as an honest broker of information, I always accept reality even if I don’t like it. Yes, sometimes I try to change it. But our electoral process is in stone. The state certifications will happen.
My job now is to consider evidence of election fraud and report it to you if it’s factual. We don’t accept allegations as facts. That is what the far left does. I will also petition Congress to pass a “fair election” law, which I’ve already layed out.
Most importantly, this website will continue to honestly inform you at the highest level. In the end, that is what I owe you. And that is what I’ve done for 25 years.
Bernie Goldberg tonight on the No Spin News. See you beginning at six.
