Hillary Clinton Explains
Guest:Bret Baier
"In yet another controversy for the Clintons, the former secretary of state has been hammered for using a private email account rather than a secure government server while on the job at the State Department. The criticism has become so intense the Democratic Party is worried it could damage Hillary Clinton's presidential chances. The issue is simple: Mrs. Clinton deleted some emails she says were private. But she will not allow the government to validate that by looking at her server. Today she declared, 'The server will remain private.' Uh-oh. That allows critics of Hillary Clinton to charge cover-up even as she says there is nothing of national importance on the deleted emails. Talking Points believes all Americans are entitled to the presumption of innocence, including Hillary Clinton. But there is a way for Mrs. Clinton to keep her private correspondence out of the public eye while reassuring the public she did not delete anything that affected the country. She should request that the FBI examine her server, with the assurance that all private deleted emails would remain private. If the feds do not look at her server, then any public official could do the same thing - claim private correspondence without scrutiny. At this point, it would be grossly unfair to accuse Hillary Clinton of anything other than bad judgment. But it should not be up to her or any public official to delete emails while on the job. Richard Nixon tried a similar tactic with tapes back in the Watergate days. I am not comparing Hillary Clinton to Nixon, I am just saying that we cannot simply accept her word on this one when verification is as easy as analyzing her server. Hillary Clinton should request the FBI come in tonight."

Fox News anchor Bret Baier joined The Factor with his assessment of Clinton's press conference. "This comes down to that one issue," he said, "which is that the server will remain private. That's the thing that raised a lot of eyebrows in Washington. She conceded that she deleted some emails that she thought shouldn't be around, and there is a lot of political damage. This comes down to the issue of trust, and her press conference today came down to, 'trust me.'" The Factor objected to Mrs. Clinton's plea for trust, saying, "Our system of oversight doesn't work that way."
Charges of sexism in the political arena
Guests:Monica Crowley & Kirsten Powers
Billionaire Warren Buffett has been criticized by women's groups because he described Senator Elizabeth Warren as "angry," a word that sets off alarm bells in some radical feminist circles. Monica Crowley and Kirsten Powers discussed the dustup. "What we're seeing unfold here," Crowley theorized, "is that 'sexism' will be the new 'racism.' Charging racism was the left's go-to smear when it came to Barack Obama, now charging sexism will be their new go go-to smear." Powers agreed that her fellow Democrats are far too eager to throw around accusations. "There was no sexism here, and sexism is the new racism. I just finished a book about how the left uses these terms."
Republican Letter to Iran
Guest:Danielle Pletka
47 Republican senators have written a letter to the mullahs of Iran, reminding them that any nuke agreement can easily be rescinded by a new administration in 2017. Foreign policy analyst and Iran expert Danielle Pletka joined The Factor to discuss the letter, which has angered many Democrats. "I think the letter is a good idea," she said, "and I think it's important for everybody to alert the world to the really lousy deal that the Obama administration is pressing for with Iran. The Iranians have given almost nothing to the Obama administration, it's the Obama administration that has done all the moving. You don't have to be an expert on Iran to understand that they are going to cheat on every deal."
Hot Legal Stories
Guests:Kimberly Guilfoyle & Lis Wiehl
Thousands of pregnant Chinese women are paying tour operators up to $80,000 to travel to the USA in order to give birth here. Legal analysts Lis Wiehl and Kimberly Guilfoyle elaborated on the scam. "If you come here and have a baby," Guilfoyle said, "that baby is a U.S. citizen. It's a big problem because the baby's presence can then lead to visas for other relatives back in China. These women come in late pregnancy and they're taught how to hide their pregnancy." Wiehl reported that federal law enforcement authorities are on the case. "Local authorities tried to shut these business down for years using zoning laws, but now the feds are involved saying this involves visa fraud and tax evasion." The Factor concluded, "This law is being abused like crazy and it has to be changed."
Is American Fair to African Americans?
Guest:John Stossel
Many black Americans feel the deck is stacked against them, that it's far more difficult for them to succeed. Fox Business Network host John Stossel, who recently visited Harlem to interview some black citizens, reported on his findings. "One of the kids who was most adamant that this is a racist country and opportunity is denied," Stossel said, "was a Yale graduate, where they're indoctrinated with this stuff. The evidence against that is that black African immigrants thrive in America. If there's so much racism, how do Nigerians do so well? They out-earn the average white American. They have two parents and they were raised differently."
New Poll on Hillary Clinton
Guests:Daniel Halper & Leslie Marshall
A new survey indicates that Hillary Clinton's has lost popularity in recent months. The Factor invited Democratic analyst Leslie Marshall and Daniel Halper, author of a book about the Clintons, to weigh in. "What's bad about these numbers for Mrs. Clinton," Halper said, "is that they show a trend. When she left the State Department she was the most popular politician in America but she has lost that edge. That signals trouble ahead." But Marshall insisted that the current email controversy will not do lasting harm. "A lot of Democrats don't agree with me, but I don't feel this is going to take her down. I don't think she or her husband are that stupid, and I don't think this is that big of an issue outside the Beltway. I don't have a problem with her keeping private emails private." The Factor scolded Marshall for essentially endorsing government secrecy: "You are saying it's okay that any politician have a private email system in which they conduct public business, and they decide what the public can see. I think that's pretty astounding."

Ryan Reed, Hollywood, CA: "Juan is correct. The left will vote for Hillary no matter what."
