Most Americans don’t watch “60 Minutes,” but if you are over 35, you’ve probably heard of the CBS program. Thanks to Mike Wallace, Don Hewitt, Ed Bradley, and Morley Safer, the news magazine is a huge profit generator to this day.

However, former CBS reporter Scott Pelley, who was fired last night, says the new management, headed by Larry and David Ellison, is trying to “murder” the show. That’s overstated, I believe. They may want to rough it up a bit, but homicide is not profitable in this case.

Having worked at CBS News a long time ago, I can testify that a liberal culture took root after anchorman Walter Cronkite retired and Dan Rather took over.  Bernie Goldberg wrote a book on that called “Bias.”

Mr. Rather did not like said book.

Now reform is in the air.  No longer will Leslie Stahl be allowed to defend Hunter Biden’s laptop or other correspondents demean President Trump as Norah O’Donnell recently tried to do.  That’s a good thing, correct?

Donald Trump is getting the blame for the culture adjustment, and the President is certainly involved.

But he is not an accessory to murder.  The truth is, “60 Minutes” allowed an anti-Trump agenda to flourish.
