Apparently, some in the media are taking umbrage that President Trump would like a change of management at CNN. First of all, I love the word “umbrage.” And secondly, CNN has tortured Mr. Trump for ten years, so why wouldn’t he want regime change?
If you compare the attitude towards President Biden to that of President Trump, CNN reveals itself. White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins, whom I believe is talented, pretty much gave Biden a pass even though the former President basically ignored CNN and all other media.
President Trump, on the other hand, sat for a big Town Hall with Ms. Collins.
Nevertheless, Kaitlan uses every opportunity to play “gotcha” with the President, and it’s tedious. No benefit of the doubt, just an accusatory tone.
But Ms. Collins isn’t the worst; NBC and ABC are. “60 Minutes” also surpasses Kaitlan on the Trump loathing chart.
Journalism is not hard. You seek facts, you ask tough questions in a respectful way to get them. Gotcha is a foolish game. Injecting a supercilious negative attitude towards a story is corrupt.
Remember “we report, you decide?”
President Trump is right. CNN needs an overhaul.
