Senator Charles Schumer folded.  We knew he would, predicted it, and now he has.  

Early Friday morning, the Senate unanimously voted to start funding airport TSA agents and the Coast Guard again after punishing them and millions of airline passengers for 41 days.

The Senate Democrats, led by Chuck, held up the money until “reform” was imposed on ICE agents.

In the end, reform did not happen because some of the liberal demands, like a federal judge signing a warrant for each detained alien, are physically impossible. Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune said Schumer wasn’t looking for a solution; he just wanted an issue.  The GOP is willing to discuss changes to immigration enforcement, but that wasn’t Schumer’s scheme.  He wants legalization for so-called “nonviolent” foreign nationals, the same thing Joe Biden wanted.

Here’s backup: ICE is already funded by another spending program. Agents weren’t affected by the insanity. Schumer was just making a point by brutalizing the TSA and traveling Americans.  After the vote, the minority leader said he is “proud” of the debacle.

That’s a whole bunch of cheese to drop on the nation, Chuck. Safe flight into retirement.
