The weak presentation by Attorney General Garland on Thursday and the stonewall testimony by FBI director Christopher Wray last week should disturb every American. It is clear the Justice Department is being run by men who are not exactly profiles in courage.

I don't know if Donald Trump did anything wrong concerning classified documents, but I do know the matter is being handled in a way that is damaging America.

Overseas, our enemies are mocking us as they see the weakness of President Biden spreading to a key federal agency. Based on Garland's shaky demeanor at the podium, it is likely there is panic inside his office, and our adversaries know it.

But the bigger picture inside the USA is this: Biden's key department heads are all incompetent. Buttigieg in Transportation is presiding over the airline collapse, Mayorkas in Homeland Security is responsible for the southern border debacle, and now Justice seems to be in disarray under frightened Garland Merrick.

Astute and honest leadership is desperately needed in this country. But that is not going to happen as long as Joe Biden is president.
