Way too many politics in the ICE-Minneapolis disaster. Now, the Senate Democrats say they will not vote to fund ICE, which could shut down the government again.  This hurts all Americans.

As usual, politicians simply will not accept the truth of the situation. Minnesota authorities are in full rebellion against federal law. No justification for that. The American people elected Donald Trump to enforce immigration statutes. If Minnesota doesn’t like it, tough.  States should be fiscally punished for practicing anarchy.

Meanwhile, there is too much defiance about public safety from Homeland Security.  Yes, your job is enforcement, but defusing potential life-death situations should be a priority.  Leadership clearly knows federal agents are in danger from disturbed people.  Adjustments have to be made because of that.

However, it is absolutely true that the man shot dead on Saturday actually sought his own demise.  Sane people don’t bring loaded guns and confront law enforcement.  The man’s family should be respected, and his loss mourned.  But he, himself, orchestrated his own death.

Finally, President Trump should weigh in on the horrible turn of events in Minnesota.  Don’t have to back down. Should bring reasonable dialogue to the table.
