Is the Pandemic a Warning from God?

Here’s an intriguing question: Dr. Franklin Graham and some other religious people are saying the pandemic may be a warning from God.

Now, if you don’t believe in a deity—you reject that out of hand. But on this Easter weekend, if you are a believer this might be worth thinking about.

Since I’ve been on the planet, I’ve seen great changes in people’s behavior. Right now in America, we are a selfish country, generally speaking. There is great generosity—Americans give more money to charity than any other people on Earth—but, you know what I’m talking about.

The pursuit of wealth, fame, what we want, substances and intoxicants—it is off the chart.

And our behavior is not as civil, it is not as thoughtful, as it used to be.

So it is entirely possible that this pandemic was sent to wake people up. That all of us on the planet should be better in our day to day lives, we should be looking out for each other—which is a tenet of the Judeo-Christian philosophy that America was founded upon.

So, is it a warning? Is there a God who is a little teed off with the way many people are behaving? It is entirely possible, because if you look throughout history, all of the other things that have happened, that have changed us—we have received warnings.
