Hey BillOReilly.com Premium Members, welcome to the No Spin News for Thursday, December 14th, I believe it is, 2017. Take your country back.
Now, this is a special edition of the No Spin News because I am going out to the west coast later today to do a show with Miller at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Friday, and at the Honda Center, they call it the Pond, in Anaheim on Saturday. They make great early Christmas gifts, the No Spin Tour, actually it's the Spin Stops Here tour in Vegas and Anaheim, California. So got to get on the road again, get out there. It will be a little warmer and looking forward to it. The shows are going to be a blast. Check them out if you can.
All right, so what I wanted to talk to you about today is that there is a change in the way the media and the left is going after or are going after President Trump. And this change has not been defined. I haven't seen it anywhere. But you need to know about it because it affects the United States of America and it affects it a lot.
So what's happening is that the media thought it had Mr. Trump on the Russian collusion thing. They really believed that was going to develop into this huge scandal that was going to lead to impeachment of the president. That's not going to happen now because of what we reported yesterday, that there's now four dubious things inside the FBI investigation and the special counsel's office. Can't have it. So no matter what Robert Mueller, who himself may be fine, I mean, there's no evidence that says he isn't fine, but whatever else he comes up with, it's going to be tainted. And it was clear by the questioning for the House Judiciary Committee yesterday on Rod Rosenstein, the assistant attorney general, that Republicans believe that this is a fraudulent investigation. And the Department of Justice, which oversees the FBI, is in trouble because the inspector general of the Department of Justice is investigating the whole thing.
And when you have a guy, Strzok, Peter Strzok, who is the second lead investigator on Hillary Clinton and who downgraded the language that James Comey, the FBI director at the time, used in describing what Mrs. Clinton did in her e-mails. When you have a guy that writes personal e-mails to his mistress saying that he hates Trump and that he hopes Hillary wins 100 million votes to nothing, it's over. It's over.
So, now they have to reopen the Clinton e-mail investigation and that has to be done by the Attorney General Sessions and they have to basically close down the Russian investigation. You want to start again, OK, but it's chaos, it's amateur hour. I mean, this is the Pink Panther, Peter Sellers, Inspector Clouseau. You can't be doing this.
Now to its credit, the FBI did find out that Strzok was doing this stuff. They themselves were policing their own agents. OK. But the fact of the matter is it's shocking and any fair minded American, even if you hate Donald Trump, knows that's shocking and knows it's over.
OK, so that's the fact. And the left knows it, the media knows it. So immediately, and I predicted this, it wasn't hard to predict it, they pivot into the women. So as you know, all across the United States every day in every way women are coming forward saying somebody treated them badly. They're now calling it sexual misconduct. OK, so for every one you hear, there's a thousand you don't hear on the local level, everywhere, corporations, politics, all across the board. So this is an epidemic. And here it is. And it's an industry.
I mean, the lawyers are advertising on television and radio. If you have a beef, call me up, I'll get you some money. Not diminishing any of the horror that some women have experienced. I'm not doing that. But I am saying that this thing has been weaponized and now the weapons are going to be turned on Donald Trump because on his resume you had a bunch of women before the election, the New York Times put them forth, that said Trump was untoward toward me. Voters said, you know what, we don't think it's that important or we're going to still vote for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton. So then it went away.
But now it's back and it's going to be back big time. So you can expect in the weeks to come new women to come out, that's going to happen. All right. And then every time there's something new, the anti-Trump press is going to blow it up into this big thing. It's just going to be exhausting. I think people are exhausted already on this front.
So what President Trump has to expect is that this is the next campaign. So he has got to himself, as Monica Crowley said yesterday, develop a forward looking strategy. What do I do? Who do I hire to protect me? What do they say? So his first instinct is what he always does, when Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York comes out and says, Trump should resign, he then comes back and says, Gillibrand wants money for her campaigns and will do anything to get it. Immediately, that gets blown up into a sexist statement or whatever. You read it, you heard it. OK.
So to me, if I'm General Kelly, Trump's chief of staff, I get everybody in the room, everybody I trust, and I say, ok, how are we going to handle this because we know it's coming.
Now, the reason that the far-left and the media hate Donald Trump is because he stands opposed to the progressive agenda of Barack Obama. That's it. If you want to boil it down. They don't like his style. OK. But it's more than that. Barack Obama was in office for eight years and the progressive left made tremendous social strides. You see it on college campuses, absolute chaos. Safe Spaces. All of that nonsense. Republicans not allowed, conservatives can't speak, all of this came out of the Obama years. Now, the president himself, President Obama, he didn't do it, but he put into place the mechanisms whereby the progressives were heard and anybody who wasn't progressive was diminished and attacked. And the media loved Barack Obama to this day even though during his administration the economy was... what's the word... the economy at first was terrible then got a little less terrible and at the end was mediocre. But eight years, Americans did not improve their circumstances, particularly poor Americans. That's a fact. He doubled the national debt, ran up more debt than all the other presidents combined.
He allowed ISIS to run wild, did he not?
The border was a sieve. Sanctuary cities proliferated. On and on and on and on. Yet, if the left could get Barack Obama back in office, they'd get him in a heartbeat. So, Trump is the devil because he opposes what Barack Obama promoted. That's essentially it. And they don't like him personally. And you know, he diminishes the press and back and forth and all of that bad feeling, all of that. OK.
But I'm worried about the country losing control because if you're going to have every single day another woman saying, oh, he did this, he did that... Remember, if you're a famous person, you don't have a chance to reply to any of this. My circumstance is exact proof of that. I mean, because you can't sue, because you're a famous person, the bar is up to here. Then if you say, well, I didn't do it, then you're shaming the victim. It's almost impossible. And then you add into the fact that there were some guys who did some pretty bad stuff and have admitted it. So now everybody's in that thing. And I mean, I read the press and I just... I'm like this.
Every allegation is a conviction. Every one. So Trump is now going to be front and center in this whole campaign. That's where he's going to be. And it started yesterday in USA Today.
USA Today is a left-wing newspaper. They were brutal to me for 20 years. Brutal. Every cheap shot they could take, they took. I mean, so much so that they tried to ruin my books. And I asked to reply and they said, no. Really, really a bad operation.
So their headline yesterday, this is the editorial board. I'm not going to read most of it because it's disgusting, but I have to give you some idea. "A president who'd all but call a senator a whore is unfit to clean toilets in Obama's presidential library or to shine George W. Bush's shoes." This is USA Today's headline.
It says, "with his latest tweet on Senator Gillibrand clearly implying that a U.S. senator would trade sexual favors for campaign cash, President Trump has shown he is not fit for office. Rock bottom is no impediment for a president who could always find room for a new low... Donald Trump the man is uniquely awful. His sickening behavior is corrosive to the enterprise of a shared governance based on common values and the consent of the governed."
So that's a call from impeachment right there and it goes on and on. So this is just the beginning. This is the beginning of what's going to happen. And in the meantime, the American people are looking at the economy doing much better, which it is, and that's going to raise salaries for all working Americans who are doing a good job who are in demand, because you can go to another company because the economy is expanding. All right. The tax reform we'll see, but it does give money back to millions of Americans. We'll see if it works. All right. ISIS, they're out of there. They don't hold any territory anymore. In less than a year, under the Trump administration, ISIS has been defeated. In eight years, President Obama didn't dent them. True. It's a fact, it's not a partisan statement. It's a fact.
On the border, record low crossings into the USA. Because if you are an illegal alien now and you get caught, life is hard. It's not like it was under President Obama. All right, so there are four things right there that I believe, as an independent, are good for America or most Americans. But everything is going to reach to a halt if you have a chief executive, Donald Trump, who every day has to answer another charge. The media is coordinating with the anti-Trump forces. No doubt about that. No doubt about it. They talk.
Trump has to know that and he's seen the leaks, he's seen the manipulations, he's seen everything. Again, you can't tweet your way out of this. So, Donald Trump has done pretty much all he can do on the tweet front. And if I were him, I'd be very, very careful about what I said. He didn't have to do this Gillibrand thing. This gave his enemies a big opportunity.
Look, when I read that thing, "she'll do anything for campaign contributions," was he implying some sex thing? I don't know, maybe, possible. But USA Today clearly implying it. No, it's not clearly, and as Sarah Sanders, the White House spokesperson said, he's used the same rhetoric describing men. So it's not that clearly. It is to USA Today because they want it to be that, they want Trump out of office. So whatever he does, they're going to spin it around to say he's unfit, get him out. Whatever he does.
As we reported yesterday on the nightly newscasts, the three of them, CBS, ABC, and NBC, in the last six months, 91 percent of all the mentions of Donald Trump and his administration have been negative. 91 percent in six months. You can't overcome that and unlike you who are watching me now who are interested in the country, interested in honest information, which I'm giving you... all right, and you may remember in 20 years I never had to retract a story. One time we used an Internet report that was inaccurate. I corrected it as fast as I humanly could. But our facts are solid. So you are because you want honest information about your country. That's why you're here.
Most Americans, they're not engaged. They're not. They hear stuff, that's all they do, they hear stuff... they don't read it. They're not going into the political websites, they are not trying to assemble information. They just hear stuff from their friends, on the Internet or whatever sites they're on, that kind of thing, controversy. They watch the entertainment shows, whatever it may be. But once you have, you know, all of these forces arrayed against you, as President Trump does, it's very difficult.
Now, if he takes my advice and they start to form a SWAT team to swat away dishonest accusations, he might be able to temper it, he may be able to do that because there's Fox News and Talk Radio and a few other outlets on the Internet, Breitbart, Daily Caller, a few other places that will promote his side to some extent. Not many, about 50 to one against, but there are some. But he has to do it, the Trump administration has to do it very methodically. Not tweeting. It's got to be look, this is a situation, this is why it's wrong, this is why it's unfair, this is why it's destructive, and here's the truth. That's the only way you can do it.
Now, there is a school of thought and I bought into it for a while but it harmed me tremendously that you ignore the small stuff, but there is no more small stuff. All the people that hate Trump are working together. And if you say, "O'Reilly, you're paranoid," you're crazy. I know these people. I know what they do. I know them. I know who they talked to. I know where they go. I know.
So I'm really worried about the country because in 2018, when this stuff is really going to ramp up, if you have a distracted, depressed president... how could Donald Trump not be depressed? I mean, one of the reasons that I'm glad I'm not on cable TV anymore is because every day of my life I got attacked. For more than 20 years, every single day somebody was taking a cheap shot or saying something dishonest about me or whatever.
I mean, it's debilitating. Family. How do you think Melania Trump feels? You know, you've got to be strong. If you want to get into this game, you've got to be strong. Trump, he can handle a lot. He can handle a lot. But now he needs to get some help. He needs to get the best, and he needs to array those people almost like a political campaign to answer what is surely coming. And if he doesn't, they'll wear him down and he'll be discombobulated, maybe depressed. Because he's a human being. He'll make mistakes, he'll lash out. Can't do it. It's a war. It's war.
Richard Nixon lost the war because he did stuff. He did it, all right. But he was going to lose that war anyway because he didn't have at his disposal truth tellers. He had liars. Trump needs to get truth tellers in there, unless he did something, and if he did something he ought to come clean, whatever it is, come clean. But so far, the voters know what he was accused of, they elected him anyway. The Russia thing, falling apart. But this other stuff is going to continue and continue and continue and it's going to take a toll.
Final thing. It is possible, not probable that the American people will rise up somehow and say enough. Enough, we know bad things happen to women, we want justice, but we're not going to do witch hunting every single day of the calendar year. I mean, I think many people are there already. But in the campaigns, 2018, the midterm elections, you are going to see this stuff all over the place. They're doing opp research right now. Anything. Because remember, every headline is a conviction.
So, I'm glad I got that off my chest, I didn't want to do it Christmas week. Christmas week, I don't want to do that stuff next week. We'll be here, we'll report what happened, but I don't want to be, you know, ruining everybody's holiday.
It's still America, still the greatest country in the world. Christmas the greatest time of year. People love you, I hope, and concentrate on that. But I am sounding a warning here. I am being Paul Revere.
Now, I can't thank you enough for making BillOReilly.com a huge success. You know, we do touts every day and tell you Killing England... and Killing England is a fabulous book. It really is. Give the gift of history for Christmas and Hanukkah. If you buy it on BillOReilly.com you can extend your membership free for three months.
If you buy three gift certificates to Premium Membership for BillOReilly.com, we give you four free books, any books you want of mine. Got to get... that's seven gifts. And you guys have been coming in droves to do it. But all this helps. I've got to pay my people. All right. I mean, I'm Santa. My staff is great. We've got to pay them. You know, we've got overhead. We've got to do stuff. And it's you and me. You know, we don't have a big corporation. Thank God. Thank God, I don't have a big corporation because I can just now tell you the unfettered truth, I don't have to worry about anybody.
But we do need you to come on in and, you know, take advantage of all our great offers and spread the word. Got to spread the word, BillOReilly.com is a place you can go and you're going to get the truth. Way ahead. And you know that. I proved myself to you. Way ahead of what's happening in this country. If you get it first, you'll get it right.
And next week we'll be in the studio, we'll be here. It's a 50-50 split. It's so interesting because I asked a couple of times for polls and half the folks like here better, half the folks like studio better. To me, whatever you want is fine. There are times when I want to talk to people face to face in Manhattan. It's easier to do that, obviously, in a studio. But there are other times where I, you know, just get out of my jammies, put on a shirt, comb my hair, and here I am. That's fun too. I think both are worthy. I get my point across no matter where I am.
So anyway, if you're around Vegas and Southern California dodging the fires come see us, Miller and me at Caesar's Palace on Friday night and the Honda Center in Anaheim on Saturday. Great Christmas gifts early. And don't forget the We Say Merry Christmas doormat thing. They're made in America, we've got to move those out because there's no good for Easter. All right.
