The resignation of Secretary of Defense Mattis is a setback for the country. His strategy of swift, well coordinated military action badly damaged ISIS and blunted aggression against America.

The Marine General served President Trump well but disagreed with him about withdrawing 2,000 troops from Syria and on other matters. Mattis’ staff will also leave and they will be hard to replace.

Also, President Trump and elected Democrats are in a stand-off over the border wall, we’ll know in few hours how that will play out.
