On this Monday, it goes without saying that many Americans know little about the history of their country, and some, incredibly, could not care less about our laws and tradition. We all are living in an age of deep narcissism where individual desires often overwhelm the public good.

The pursuit of intoxication, rejection of laws you don't like, and selfish behavior outside the home all fall into that category.

But what about abortion, the destruction of the unborn? As the cliche goes, it's complicated.

It is my job to promote the truth, so that's what I will state, clearly, so even Senator Schumer can understand it.

The Tenth Amendment, which says that any issue not "delegated" (that is specifically mentioned) in the Constitution is to be decided by the individual states, allows the Supreme Court to rescind Roe v. Wade. And that's what will likely happen in June when the Supremes Court decides on a lawsuit challenging Mississippi's restrictions on abortion.

But that decision will not ban the abortion procedure. It will order the state legislatures and governors to craft abortion laws acceptable to the voters. If a state decides to ban all abortions, that might violate the Ninth Amendment, which protects "other rights retained by the people."

So more lawsuits.

It's my opinion that many zealots on both sides of the abortion issue would banish the Constitution if they could. They want what they want, and to get it, anarchy and perhaps violence are acceptable.

It's a shame the Constitution did not expressly outlaw narcissists.
