The race for president in 2020 will be incredibly intense if Donald Trump is once again unleashed.  I say if because there is so much chaos in Washington these days that no one can predict what might happen.  But there are a few things we know for sure.

First of all, the President’s base is between 35 and 40 percent of registered voters and they are not likely to abandon him.  But that’s not enough to win re-election so Mr. Trump has to persuade another ten percent of voters to back him.  In the face of hyper-hostile news coverage, that will be a challenge.

Republicans are hoping Democrats nominate a far-left candidate because most Americans do not want a leftist in power.  Mr. Trump’s victory coming off eight years of Barack Obama clearly demonstrated that.  While the media loves the far left, regular folks do not.  They clearly see the totalitarian presentation and lack of due process uber-leftists embrace.

One year from now, political strategy will have changed dramatically based on events no one can foresee.  But the President must regain momentum well before then if he wants a second term.

Lots of great stuff for you on the site this weekend.  Hope you enjoy it.  Thanks for visiting.
