It is almost beyond belief that the U.S. government is partially shut down because Congressional Democrats will not allocate 5 billion dollars to construct a barrier on the southern border. The left has banded together to put forth that “walls don’t work.” This comes as a shock to Israelis who now lie protected from daily terror acts behind a barrier, as well as older East Germans who were held captive by a wall.

The left wing Long Island newspaper Newsday opposes the wall and opines that drones and more immigration judges can mitigate the massive drug and people smuggling coming from Mexico. Loopy doesn’t even come close to describing that editorial position. Unless drones are armed with death rays to smoke drug traffickers, drones can only observe the mass intrusion on the US border. Judges can deport people many of whom come right back. Somebody tell Newsday.

Adding to the insanity, many left-leaning Americans support protecting even alien criminals by using Sanctuary policies to disobey federal law.

It all adds up to anarchy and stupidity. The United States has become an irrational country where ideology trumps public safety. Fair-minded Americans need to wake up. Illegal immigration is not a good thing. Want to come here - do it legally.
