Lives are disrupted routinely all over the world, and that's the harsh side of this planet. Fort Myers, Florida, is a nice place to live, and now a storm has not only damaged property but the core of thousands of good people.

The same for all the communities hammered by the hurricane this week.

There is nothing we can do about so-called "acts of God," and that is both frightening and frustrating. No person is to blame for any storm. The leftist zealots will tell you it's "climate change," blah, blah, blah. But that's nonsense. Destructive nature has been in the universe forever.

Just ask the dinosaurs.

The states and feds will help people rebuild as they should. But the pain is immense. All Americans should be thinking of their brothers and sisters in the wake of the storm. And help if you can.
