It occurred to me that about four million Americans watch hate Trump cable shows each night.  That’s the approximate combined audience of MSNBC and CNN in prime time hours.  But why would people watch loathing every single night?  Good question, right?

 

It’s kind of boring, is it not?  I mean how many times can you convict the President of working with Russia to corrupt the 2016 election?  We got it - CNN and NBC think he’s guilty.  He did it, no doubt, no question, he’s a criminal, he should be impeached at the very least.  He ........ you fill in the blank.

 

Dull, uninspired, mind-numbing, foolish, dishonest, humorless, insulting programming.  Yet some consistently tune in.

 

Hate is the new currency in the national news arena.  Used to be talk radio had a hate problem but now that industry looks like a novena compared to the stuff being put out by major corporations like Comcast and Time Warner.  The suits allow the hate-fest because it brings in millions of dollars.  What’s going on is corrupt and revolting.

 

Disliking Donald Trump is not the problem, trying to harm him is. The merchants of venom are making nice money off this hideous display and that says a ton about their collective character.  

 

But in the end, it’s on those who consume the hate.  If you did not, it would vanish.  And maybe we’d get some honest reporting and analysis for a change.
