President Trump is taking some heat from a few conservative media outlets for his Phoenix speech on Tuesday.  Basically, the criticism is that the President spent too much time media bashing, and not enough on policy.

 

I dissent a bit on this.

 

After absorbing a tremendous beating by the hate-Trump media over Charlottesville, the President had to show his base that he was not beaten down, that his confrontational style remained in tact.  And that's what he did.

 

The speech was not designed to do anything more than rally his troops.  

 

Going forward, Donald Trump would be smart to state his successes, especially on the economy, but also clearly define the growing danger from the violent far left!
