I really liked the movie. For those members who prefer a video to reading, you will find this story to be quite accurate. I still remember that day as though it were yesterday. The only inaccuracy DURING THE ASSASSINATION was that Hinkley got off all rounds much faster than the film portrayed. I believe the real time was two seconds which is why the Secret Service couldn't react fast enough. I personally would've liked to have seen more drama in the hospital, before and during recovery. Unless one lived through it or went to google while watching, Reagan's staff should've been developed more. When Alexander Haig mentioned the chain of command after the President, he was obviously not in any condition to meet with the press. Hence, his gaff was due to the stressful nature of the situation, not a power hungry ego maniac. The film turned his relationship with the staff into a back biting soap opera. The whole astrology thing was unnecessary and I would've liked to have seen more footage of Reagan and much less of Hinkley. Tim Matheson and Cynthia Nixon did a wonderful job of playing the Reagans. Nobody could've done it better.
