Tuesday: Uncovering the Influence of George Soros
George Soros, the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton
"85-year-old billionaire George Soros is a far-left fanatic whose Open Society organization advocates no borders anywhere in the world. Hackers have exposed documents connected to Soros and his Open Society, and the information is disturbing. Soros has given about $10-million to groups opposed to the policies of Israel. He has funded individuals accusing Israel of war crimes, and he has given grants to people who literally hate Israel. Finally, Soros has donated about $13-million to the Democrats this cycle, including 7-million bucks to a Hillary Clinton Super PAC. Twelve years ago, Mrs. Clinton said, 'We need people like George Soros, who is fearless.' That soundbite is dated, but the Clinton campaign is accepting money from Soros this year and that may present a problem. Donald Trump got hammered for not disavowing David Duke quickly enough. But now we have a far-left individual bent on harming Israel, America's strongest ally in the Middle East. How will the media cover that situation? Talking Points believes the mainstream press will largely ignore the story, even though it is very important. Does the Democratic Party advocate open borders? Does the party support the enemies of Israel? Do Jewish voters even know this is happening? Again, a major situation has been brought to you by hackers and presented to a press that is largely apathetic when it comes to reporting the truth about the upcoming election. The Democratic Party must comment on Mr. Soros. We have requested a statement from the DNC. We will let you know if they reply."

The Factor welcomed Cliff May, a target of George Soros. "I run a think tank that was formed after 9/11," May explained, "and we focus largely on radical Islam and jihadism. We knew that some individuals were tweeting against us and trying to dig up dirt, but not until last week did we know that George Soros was giving them hundreds of thousands of dollars. I don't mind if people want to debate me, but when they call you an 'Islamophobe' they want to shut you down. He is also targeting the one open society in the entire region, which is Israel." The Factor lauded May, saying, "Your organization is exposing one of the great threats to the United States and an American billionaire is trying to attack you."
Reaction to Soros' Influence
For another view of the connection between George Soros and the Democratic Party, The Factor turned to Democrat Jeanne Zaino. "Soros has raised an awful lot of money for causes that people on the left care about," she said. "You have to give him credit for that, and I'm not sure you can blame George Soros or Hillary Clinton for the fact that we have a political system that allows money to be spent this way. His foundation has spent $13-billion dollars in 33 years, and when you are dealing with that amount of money some of it will go to places that make some people uncomfortable. But the argument that the Democratic Party is anti-Israel won't hold any water."
Gitmo Prison Release Controversy
The Obama administration has released an additional 15 inmates from the prison at Guantanamo Bay, leaving just 61 suspected terrorists at the facility. Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, no fan of President Obama, denounced the plan to empty Gitmo. "There's a formal process," he explained, "which vets the prisoners and determines whether they are ready for release. But that wasn't quick enough, so President Obama now basically orders the releases. The president has brought tremendous pressure and he wants these prisoners gone. Up to one-third of them have gone back to the battlefield! Lincoln freed the slaves, Obama freed the terrorists!" The Factor contended that even suspected terrorists have a right to justice: "It is not just to keep someone in detention without a trial and the military has not been able to set up a tribunal system."
BLM Demonstrations at Graceland
The radical group Black Lives Matter staged a protest at Graceland, the former home of Elvis Presley, claiming that Memphis is beset with economic inequality. Juan Williams and Lisa Boothe weighed in on BLM. "This sounds ludicrous," Williams said, "but people will use any kind of platform to get attention for their issues. Black Lives Matter has some legitimate grievances, but the leadership has been vacuous. They're not talking about bad schools or family breakdown or teacher unions." Boothe argued that BLM has been hijacked by far-left radicals. "It's time for the movement to get shut down. They're doing a disservice to the African American community by driving fictitious narratives." The Factor agreed that BLM has lost all credibility: "Black Lives Matter is misguided in the extreme, and this makes the group hateful to people who like Elvis Presley. They have succeeded at making race relations worse."
Voter Fraud in the U.S.?
Donald Trump has warned that voter fraud is rampant in the USA and that some elections are 'rigged.' Legal aces Kimberly Guilfoyle and Stacey Schneider scrutinized that allegation. "It's very difficult to prove voter fraud in this country," Guilfoyle stated. "There have been 784 election fraud cases with convictions since 1985, but there were only four in the last presidential election." Schneider agreed that fraud is tough to prove, concluding, "There is no statistical evidence of systemic voter fraud." Schneider also reported on the latest bizarre twist in the case of accused deserter Bowe Bergdahl. "It's unbelievable what has come out," she declared. "There were 100 letters concerning this case that were mysteriously burned by the general overseeing the trial. We don't even know what the letters were about."
Crime and Chaos in Rio
Bernard McGuirk and Greg Gutfeld opined on Vice President Joe Biden, who campaigned with Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania this week. "When he's next to Hillary," Gutfeld said, "it doesn't help her because he is much more likeable. He's the good cop, she's the bad cop; he's the ice cream, she's the ice cream headache." But McGuirk argued that Biden's help will be valuable to Secretary Clinton, saying, "This helps her because he is squeaky clean and loved, while she is Boss Tweed in a pants suit." The boys also tackled the crime and chaos that is rampant at the Rio Olympics. "You know it's bad when the North Koreans want to go home," McGuirk quipped. "Anybody that is able to lives in a boat off the shore so they can watch the body parts float by." But, searching for a bright spot, Gutfeld lauded the Rio organizers for creating some new events, including "synchronized diarrhea, slalom food poisoning, and track and mugging."

Factor Words of the Day
Charles Salemi, Largo, FL: "I'm confused, Bill. How can mid-August polling be meaningless, yet you say Hillary Clinton is clearly ahead?"

Bob Munson, Newbury Park, CA: "Charles Krauthammer has never been to an inner-city school. Socioeconomic facts determine 99% of academic success. The most dedicated teachers are inner city teachers."

Jordan Nadel, Denver, CO: "You can go wrong in Ireland, Bill. Ever been to Belfast?"
