Phony Stories and Fake News
"The Factor has not covered anything about the Electoral College vote because it's a completely phony story. Donald Trump will be the next president and it doesn't matter if one or two electoral delegates defect. The left-wing press blew this story up because they want to make Trump look bad. All of the 'journalists' who participated in this phony story were misleading you. Now, on to Russian hacking. That is a real story that we highlighted back in October. President Obama did not do anything about it, as far as we can tell, but now the Democrats are whining all over the place. It's clear that Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party did not believe the Russian hackers would derail their presidential chances , so no pressure was put on President Obama to stop the madness when it was uncovered. But now, Hillary Clinton is saying this: 'Vladimir Putin himself directed the covert cyber attacks against our electoral system, against our democracy, apparently because he has a personal beef against me.' It seems to me that Putin's alleged favoring of Trump, if that's a fact, may be a very large mistake. By putting some very tough generals in charge of the Defense Department and national security, a message is being sent to Putin and the world: Don't mess with the USA! The Russian leader and other tyrants ran wild and the Obama administration could not stop them. Right now the American public doesn't know what happened with the hacking because the Obama administration won't tell us, so now Congress is getting involved. As for Donald Trump, he should stay out of it until he gets into office and gets briefed by the people he is appointing to intelligence positions. Talking Points believes the Russian government was involved in embarrassing the Democratic Party, but that did not cause Hillary Clinton's defeat. That's a phony line of reportage, but the left is desperately looking for some reason to explain why Secretary Clinton and the Democratic Party lost so badly. The left-wing media has an agenda, saying Trump did not win the election fairly. And the Democratic Party has an agenda, saying the Russians threw the election to Donald Trump. Neither of those things is true!"

Bernie Goldberg on Fake News
The Factor invited Bernie Goldberg to evaluate the Memo. "I don't want to nitpick your Talking Points," he began, "but I want to fine tune a couple of things. You said the media should have stayed out of the electoral college defector story because it wasn't going anywhere. I agree, but I think they should have covered it as a last-ditch, desperate effort by some liberal Democrats to delegitimize Trump's presidency even before he takes office. I would also say that Donald Trump should tell Vladimir Putin that we will not tolerate any interference with our electoral process." The Factor concluded, "The liberal media has taken so many hits over the past few months and they are never coming back."

Terror in Germany and Turkey Today
A truck plowed into a Christmas celebration in Berlin Monday, killing at least a dozen people and injuring many more. Meanwhile, a Muslim police officer in Turkey murdered the Russian Ambassador to Turkey. The Factor spoke about the mayhem with Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman. "We shouldn't be shocked that there are additional terrorist attacks," Sherman said. "The Middle East was a mess in the Bush administration and it is still a mess, but America is more prosperous and more respected in the world. The president is not claiming that we have eliminated terrorism, but we have made progress and the Obama administration has avoided thousands of American casualties in a war in Syria." The Factor responded, "President Obama has been totally ineffective in stopping the horror, and the USA is the only country that could have stopped it."

Debating Media Mistakes
Many on the left and in the media, often the same people, are still not accepting Donald Trump's victory. The Factor spoke about that with Democratic strategist Mary Anne Marsh and conservative columnist Kelly Riddell. "Millions of Democrats in 'flyover country,'" Riddell observed, "feel that their party is really out touch. They decided to switch and vote for Trump, but now the far left is going so far as to call for a revolution with the Electoral College." Marsh contended that the Democratic resistance to Trump could help her party. "As far as the effort to delegitimize Trump, many people have learned that there is no political price to be paid for it, and in fact it is rewarded. Donald Trump is the example - he spent eight years delegitimizing Barack Obama and he was rewarded."

Trump vs. California & NY on immigration
California and New York are vowing to defy Donald Trump's immigration policies. The Factor analyzed the situation with columnist Ruben Navarrette. "New York and California will lose," Navarrette predicted, "because of the supremacy clause. I find it interesting that a lot of liberals in New York and California are now casting themselves in the role of being George Wallace from Alabama. There used to be renegade states in the South, and now they're doing the same thing in New York and California. The Democrats are lying to America, they are vowing to fight Trump, but they have allowed hundreds of thousands of deportations under Obama."

Watters Checks Out Satanic Display
Jesse Watters, at his devilish best, visited a town in Florida that is allowing a Satanic group to put up a sign next to the traditional Christmas and Hanukkah displays. Here is what some locals had to say: "This is not respecting anyone's religion" ... "This is an offensive display" ... "Christmas is a time of peace and love, but that symbol represents hate and despair." Watters tried to interview the man who put up the display, but the cowardly Satanist shunned Watters and essentially told him to go to a very fiery place.

Catherine, TN: "I am a conservative college professor, and most of my colleagues are liberal. I say nothing about politics for fear of repercussions. O'Reilly, your Talking Points about oppression in college were right on."
Lawrence, NJ: "I teach history at a college here. There is liberal bias on campus, but I hold fair discussions in my classroom and have used your Killing books, Mr. O'Reilly."
Nancy, AZ: "I am a retired California Community College teacher, and there are supposed to be rules against bias on campus. But the faculty organizations are ruled by liberals, so nothing is enforced."
