Abolishing the Electoral College?
"After Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, the left in America is demanding that the Electoral College system, put into place in 1787, be scrapped. But there is a hidden reason for this. If the Electoral College were abolished, presidential candidates could simply campaign in the nation's largest states and cities - New York, LA, Chicago, Houston - and rack up enough votes to pretty much win any election. That's what the left wants because in the large urban areas and blue states like New York and California, minorities are substantial. Newspapers like the New York Times and the L.A. Times have editorialized to get rid of the Electoral College. They know that neutralizing the largely white rural areas in the Midwest and South will assure liberal politicians, get power and keep it. Talking Points believes this is all about race. The left sees white privilege in America as an oppressive force that must be done away with. Therefore, white working-class voters must be marginalized, and what better way to do that than center the voting power in the cities? Very few commentators will tell you that the heart of liberalism in America is based on race. It permeates almost every issue - that white men have set up a system of oppression and that system must be destroyed. So-called white privilege is bad, 'diversity' is good. If you look at the voting patterns, it is clear that the Democrats are heavily reliant on the minority vote. White men have largely abandoned the Democrats and the left believes this is because of racism, that they want to punish minorities and keep them down. So that's what's really going on when you hear about the Electoral College and how unfair it allegedly is. Summing up, the left wants power taken away from the white establishment and they want a profound change in the way America is run. Taking voting power away from white precincts is the quickest way to do that."
The Factor asked Juan Williams and Lisa Boothe for their reactions. "There is a racial overlay," Williams conceded, "but not everybody who is challenging the Electoral College is doing it because of race. Lots of people think it should be 'one person, one vote' no matter where you live in America. But if you're out in the sticks now your vote is now worth more than a vote in California." Boothe, on the other hand, contended that this is an example of sour grapes among liberals. "For the left this is all about power and it speaks to the arrogance of the left and the media. They're saying that a system that has served this country well for over two centuries is faulty because their candidate lost."

Terror in Berlin
ISIS has claimed responsibility for Monday's terror attack that killed a dozen people in Berlin. Fox News strategic analyst Lt. Col. Ralph Peters discussed the attack and the German response. "I'm seeing a much more open German press than previously," he said. "They tried to suppress the truth about immigrant crimes previously, but they know they can't do that in the Internet age." Peters also psychoanalyzed German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who has encouraged mass immigration from Islamic nations. "She is the daughter of a Lutheran pastor and she takes very seriously Christ's admonition to help the distressed. But the problem is that in this case the distressed are barbarians who want to destroy our civilization." The Factor blasted Merkel, saying, "I think she's a terrible leader who has destroyed her own country."

Karl Rove vs. The First Lady
First Lady Michelle Obama, in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, complained that Congress did not support her husband when he took over in 2009. Fox News analyst Karl Rove vociferously disputed that assertion. "Barack Obama came into office with 60 Democrats in the Senate," Rove recalled, "and 255 Democrats in the House. He had so many Democrats that he didn't think he had to talk with the Republicans. The Obama administration never asked for ideas on the stimulus from the Republicans and that was constant throughout. From the very beginning, President Obama treated Republicans like they were furniture."

Entertainers Shun Trump Inauguration
Tenor Andrea Bocelli has reportedly backed out of performing at the Trump inauguration after being severely criticized by other performers. Rapper Kanye West is also getting hammered by the left for visiting the president-elect at Trump Tower. Internet TV host Tomi Lahren examined the situation. "It's amazing that the 'tolerant' left has a very one-sided tolerance," she pointed out. "When Kanye West went to talk with Donald Trump he did not hear the end of it. He wants to reach out to the president-elect, which the social justice warriors should relish, but of course not because it's President Trump! The left hasn't even accepted that Donald Trump will be inaugurated, so of course they won't accept entertainers performing at the inauguration."

Obama Grants Clemency
President Obama continues to set records when it comes to pardoning federal prison inmates and reducing their sentences. Legal aces Lis Wiehl and Kimberly Guilfoyle explained that not all of the beneficiaries are non-violent drug offenders. "Anthony Gillis was part of a ring," Wiehl reported, "that trafficked in firearms and cocaine. They did this with sawed-off shotguns and other weapons. His life sentence was reduced to 20 years, so he'll be out in 2022." Guilfoyle turned to another case that involved deadly weapons. "Calvin Clark was convicted of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of a firearm. His original sentence was nearly 30 years, but he will get out in 2018 after serving ten years."

Lecturing White Guys?
MTV is being widely mocked for creating a video that lectures 'white guys' on how to better themselves in 2017. Greg Gutfeld and Bernard McGuirk eagerly joined the ridicule. "I'm convinced that Donald Trump created this video," Gutfeld quipped, "to help lay the groundwork for 2020. Anyone who sees this will vote for Trump because MTV just created a new identity that is called 'losers.' But it's good for MTV to hire homely people, homely people need work too." McGuirk was even less charitable when describing the motley crew in the MTV spot. "These are spoiled, smug, ignorant punks 'dweeb-splaining' and shaming white people. They're stuck on stupid and I have a few resolutions for these mutts: Stop sucking on your thumb, take the chip off your shoulder, and learn a trade."

Viewers Sound Off
Josh Oliver, New York, NY: "Congressman Sherman should ask himself, if things are so great under President Obama, why did 62 million Americans vote Republican?"
Reinhard Holzinger, Managua, Nicaragua: "O'Reilly, you will not report on the Electoral College controversy but will send Watters to report on the phony Christmas war."
Jamie Neal, McCordsville, IN: "Mr. O'Reilly, Bernie Goldberg won't tell you where you are wrong because you don't let people finish a sentence and bully them."
James Horan, Cherry Hill, NJ: "Bill, you are still carrying water for Obama."
