Treason In The Air
"We now know that somebody either leaked or hacked into CIA files that explained how U.S. intelligence is tracking enemies of the nation. WikiLeaks says it has released almost 9,000 documents from the CIA Center for Cyber Intelligence. So ISIS, al Qaeda, other killers now know how the USA is tracking them. Therefore, the leaks are a treasonous act. The Factor has learned that some of the computer systems used by the agency are more than 40 years old, easily hacked into, easy targets of theft. We have also been told that bids are out to high-tech companies to upgrade the computer facilities of our intelligence agencies. That will cost tens of billions but is absolutely necessary in this dangerous world. But no matter how sophisticated the hardware gets, we still have people committing treason inside the government. Since taking office, President Trump has been bedeviled by leaks, classified information being fed to the anti-Trump press among them. We have a growing catastrophe. Obviously the CIA and other intelligence agencies cannot protect their secrets, and so far only a few individuals have been charged with violating national security. Talking Points believes that leakers of classified documents are actively committing treason. And it is apparent that the federal government does not have a handle on how to apprehend these traitors, much less stop the espionage. America is the most sophisticated country in the world, but we cannot protect the private conversations of our leader, our intel secrets, and our counter-terrorism measures. President Trump should order the FBI to aggressively investigate all leaks and hacks, assigning that a top priority. Today Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee requested a meeting with FBI Director Comey on the hacking and leaks. Mr. Comey should do that as quickly as possible and it should be televised. Americans need to know if this situation is completely out of control."

Veteran investigative reporter Bob Woodward joined The Factor to discuss whether these leaks are indeed treasonous. "What the press is doing is not treason," Woodward said, "because the press carefully vets these things with the government to see if they're doing something harmful. Normally, the press won't print things that will get people killed or blow operations, and it's impossible to report on foreign affairs or intelligence and not deal with classified information. But WikiLeaks is in a different category and it's a very serious problem. That should be the focus of investigations." Woodward defended his own paper against accusations that it was 'used' in the Michael Flynn situation. "The Washington Post didn't fire Flynn, Donald Trump did. That story was done in a very careful way." The Factor concluded, "I'm not disparaging you or your paper, but I want to know who the leakers are and which agencies cannot control these people."
New Poll on Trump
A poll by USA Today shows that 23% of Americans "strongly approve" of Donald Trump's job performance, while 24% "approve." The Factor asked Geraldo Rivera and Eric Bolling to crunch the numbers. "People care about the economy and jobs," Bolling said, "and look at what happened today. Three major Chinese tech firms are promising investment in the United States. Also, 298,000 people were hired last month, which blew the doors off the estimates." Rivera urged President Trump to cut down on the early morning Tweets. "This poll came to the conclusion that President Trump has shown excellent potential and the country is in many ways better off. But his temperament with these tweets and the recklessness are dragging him down.".
A Day Without Women
Some women stayed home Wednesday to celebrate International Women's Day. Bill spoke about the event with conservative Peggy Nance. "Not many women took the day off," she said, "and the bottom line is that the organizers are people who are angry about Donald Trump being elected. There has never been a better time in history to be born female and never a better place than the United States." But Liberal radio talk show host Leslie Marshall wasn't ready to dismiss Wednesday's event. "A lot of women can't take the day off, and that is one of the gripes. A lot of women feel the Trump administration is turning back the clock. The beef is that this president and his administration are not listening to women, and this sends a clear message."
Illegal Alien Gangs
Parts of New York's Long Island are infested with dangerous gangs such as MS-13 from El Salvador. The Factor analyzed the problem with Suffolk County Policer Commissioner Timothy Sini. "The way you bring these gangs down," he said, "is that you collaborate with federal law enforcement. We recently found that MS-13 went out hunting for a victim and killed two girls who were 15 and 16. This was about a schoolyard beef, MS-13 engages in violence for a sport. We work very closely with our immigrant communities, who are supporters of law enforcement."
Miller on the Best Countries in the World
According to U.S. News & World Report, Switzerland is the best country in which to live; the USA has slipped to seventh. The Factor was joined by a distinctly annoyed Dennis Miller. "Usually I'm neutral on Switzerland," he quipped, "but it has its problems. If you live next door to Heidi, her old mad grandpa is up at six in the morning blowing on the Ricola horn. I love the U.K. and Germany, but let's face facts - the Hun gets a little flippy every once in a while. I like Japan, but I'm bad with Chopsticks. Then there's Sweden. If I want to live in the Middle East, I'll just move to the Middle East. And Norway is the little plastic village you set up under your Christmas tree, but the United States is the big honking train that makes the whole thing interesting."
Retail Stores & The Trump Family
Fox Business Network host Trish Regan examined the retailers who removed the Ivanka Trump line from their shelves. "We contacted the Ivanka line," she reported, "and the CEO said that business has never been better. Nordstrom said it was dropping the line because of poor sales, but women saw that and went out spending on Ivanka clothing. The 'grab your wallet' campaign completely backfired." The Factor theorized that the anti-Trump animus may have actually boosted his daughter's business: "It will be fascinating to know whether this whole controversy was generated by these far left people who wanted to punish the Trump family."
Viewers Sound Off
Factor Words of the Day
Maxine Voorhies, Picayune, MS: "O'Reilly, why did you give President Obama the benefit of the doubt in the Judicial Watch segment? You said he's a smart guy."

Richard Postma, Littleton, CO: "The dictionary defines immigrant as 'a person who comes to live permanently in a foreign country.' Therefore, Dr. Carson's mention of slaves is correct."

Laurence Fakinos, San Clemente, CA: "Bill, agree with you about not saying 'at the end of the day.' I'd put that right up there with 'it is what it is.' I do without hearing either one ever again."
Shaky Reporting
One publication is reporting that scientists are predicting a disastrous earthquake in Southern California. But the story has absolutely no details, serving as another reminder to be skeptical about what you read.
