Bill & Beck on Comparing Chicago Violence to Nazi Germany, Silicon Valley Intrusion, and More

Welcome to the Friday Bill and Beck interview where there is always a ton of news to discuss. Beck starts off the program today with the Islamic extremist camp in New Mexico and how it was covered by the press. Beck believes it wasn’t covered enough and that this is why many people think the press is an enemy of the people. Bill says it’s jarring to see this hesitancy by the press to condemn Muslims who are violent. In the press’s mind, Muslims are a minority in America, and if they report this story where violence is involved, then peaceful Muslims will be attacked. Reporters think if they tell the truth about New Mexico then there will be repercussions because we live in a White Supremacist society. That is the origin of the press hesitating on reporting this horrific story. But, if this was any other group other than Muslims there would be all sorts of reports on it.

When Beck comes back from the break, he asks Bill what he thinks about Alex Jones. Bill says that he’s a Luddite, he doesn’t go into the world of high tech very often, but he doesn’t believe in censorship. Bill believes there should be regulation of defamation and untrue attacks of people. The problem is that there aren’t very many people qualified to censor this information fairly. The people who run tech companies don’t know much about editorial and what is right and wrong. It’s purely about political correctness to them. Bill says that the government has got to have some kind of regulatory capacity about what is legal and illegal. Not what’s right and wrong, but if there’s an illegality involved, such as inciting violence, there should be guidelines in place.

Beck’s next topic is Bill’s column which compares the murders in Chicago to Hitler’s Germany. In Chicago, the nation’s third largest city, there have been between 7,000-10,000 people shot in the last two and a half years. Bill goes on to compare the SS concentration camp guards who would gun down people and gang members who pull up at parties and start shooting into the crowd. What is the difference? Beck agrees, saying that there isn’t a difference. Neither group cares about life and both are allowed to act the way they do by the power structure. Bill says that human beings have a tendency to rationalize their bad behavior and look away from evil.

The National Guard should be called into Chicago, but neither the governor nor the president of the United States will not bring them in to quell the civil disturbance. The reason they aren’t doing it is that they’re afraid of being called fascists or anti-black, that sort of rhetoric. Police officers are also afraid of coming into certain areas of Chicago because they’re afraid of the situation or the retaliation that they could possibly face. Bill asks where is Barack Obama on this? Obama used to work in these neighborhoods as a community organizer, so why isn’t he there? Where are all of the social justice warriors in the athletic community like LeBron James? Bill says that President Trump is to blame as well. When he was campaigning, he said he would clean up Chicago, but he hasn’t done anything yet. However, if Trump did bring the National Guard into Chicago he would be deemed racist.

Beck ends the interview by bringing up Kanye West’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel. Beck says that Kanye West is one of the bravest people in America today. Here’s this guy who has wild success and said it took him a year and a half to work up the courage to praise our president. He said it took so long because people were telling him that it would destroy his career if he vocalized his support for Trump. While West didn’t tell Kimmel his reasons for supporting Trump, he’s a brave person for standing up for his beliefs. Next week we’ll be back with another great interview between Bill and Beck so make sure to tune in!
