Bill & Beck on the National School Walkout, Trump Fatigue/Cable News, and Putin

As a former high school teacher, Bill taught an elective called ‘contemporary problems’ which dealt with the issues of the day in the 1970s. So, Bill is pretty well versed in what kids do, why they do it and how they get swept up into things like the student walkout this week. He says the solution to all of this is if you want to have a protest or demonstration, it needs to be done after school. You can’t impose on the school day and force people to protest or not, because it’s wrong to put kids in that position.

On BillOReilly.com we uncovered that there was a far-left group, EMpower, that funded and supported the student walkout. This group made signs, advised far-left faculty members to post comments on social media, etc. EMpower is an off-shoot of the Women’s March Movement and it has not been covered by any national news service. In Santa Barbara, CA, they had professionally printed signs that kids were carrying with messages about white supremacy. You have to know that this stealth, sneaky propaganda has now reached a national crisis where American children are being manipulated to believe that it is a spontaneous uprising, but it’s not. These groups are using intimidation and propaganda to get votes.

Beck moves on to how the media has been attacking Trump for over a year. The ratings for FOX and CNN are rapidly decreasing. The reason behind this is that viewers are tired of hearing about the hate-Trump rhetoric. Cable news has divided into hate Trump or love Trump. Instead of the media covering other important topics the media is consistently focused on the President Trump. It’s Trump fatigue, and the media just wants him out. Beck goes on to say that Bill is one of the sharpest minds in the media. Bill used to and has been tracking the ratings to find out what works and what doesn’t. Bill’s mission is to find out what Americans are interested in.

Moving on to the next topic, Beck brought up Larry Kudlow and the economy. President Donald Trump is likely to pick the new chief economic adviser who is a veteran talking head, Larry Kudlow, a longtime CNBC fixture, economic commentator, and weekend radio host. He will replace Gary Cohn as director of the National Economic Council (NEC). Like Cohn, Kudlow worked for decades in the financial sector, rising to become chief economist at Bear Stearns before pivoting to punditry in the 1990s. Trump offered Kudlow the job Tuesday night over the phone and he accepted. White House press secretary Sarah Sanders later confirmed Kudlow's hire in a statement to reporters.

The interview came to an end with Gina Haspel, the undercover spy has been picked to head the CIA. The online news site, ProPublica, said Thursday night that it had retracted part of an article alleging that Gina Haspel oversaw the waterboarding of an Al Qaeda suspect at a so-called agency "black site" in Thailand. "We at ProPublica hold government officials responsible for their missteps, and we must be equally accountable," editor-in-chief Stephen Engelberg said in a statement. Trump announced Tuesday that he had chosen Haspel to succeed Mike Pompeo, who is the president's pick to replace ousted Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Several senators, including some Republicans, have said that Haspel must give a full account of her involvement in the CIA's interrogation program in the early days of the War on Terror.
