The reason the situation is being portrayed that way by CNN is that if you now criticize the players, you are actually demeaning “civil rights” therefore you are a racist.  This is called “propaganda.”

 

From what I can ascertain, the NFL players who are kneeling believe the USA generally oppresses minorities especially in the justice system.  That is not an uncommon belief in left wing precincts.

 

But the issue turns on honoring the American flag, not social justice.  You can absolutely respect the flag and want improvements made to all of our systems.

 

But to dishonor the flag publicly offends the majority of Americans and they have a perfect right to protest the football players without being branded anti-civil rights.  

 

Somebody tell CNN.
