Hey BillOReilly.com Premium Members, welcome to the No Spin News, Thursday, September 14th, 2017.

A lot to tell you about today. Pretty fascinating podcast, if you ask me. And you have to ask me because I'm the one who put it together. There's nobody else to ask.

Let's start off with Donald Trump going to Florida. You know, business as usual. The president has to be seen in the context of trying to help. George W. Bush stayed away from Katrina. You remember, he got hammered for doing it.

I got to say, you know, and this is not a partisan statement, that the government, the federal and state governments have run pretty well in the face of Harvey and Irma. They have. And that's the truth. So I have no beef.

I feel very, very bad for all the people in Texas and Florida and other states who have been hurt by these storms and it's just life is hard. So we're with you. A lot of money coming in there. It's going to be frustrating, particularly in the Florida Keys, which is just wiped out. But you'll be back. And the first thing I'm going to do is go down to the Keys this winter some time. I'm going to go as a show of symbolism and unity, because I love the keys.

OK. Now, DACA. This is another big controversy and this is right up my alley because I really know what's happening here and what's going to happen when nobody else does. Now, I was on Glenn Beck this morning. Beck and I, we do a radio thing every week, and it's really worth your time to listen to it. We have it posted on BillOReilly.com, but we get into the DACA thing, and we get into the statue thing, and the Killing England thing. It's a good 45 minutes, no commercials, you just whip through it on BillOReilly.com. You'll be entertained and illuminated and enlightened, I believe. So I hope you check it out.

Now, here's what happened. So, the president throws a dinner. I understood it was Chinese food. And Chuck Schumer, the Senate Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, the House minority leader, they come and about five or six other people were there.

At the end of the dinner, Pelosi and Schumer issue a statement that they're of one mind with President Trump on solving how you're going to deal with 800,000 illegal alien younger people who were taken here as children by their illegal alien parents. What are we going to do with them?

So, Pelosi and Schumer say we have reached a tentative agreement and it doesn't have anything to do with the border wall. That's what they send out. Immediately, conservatives in America go wild. Now, this was a design by Schumer and Pelosi, and President Trump should learn a lesson. What those two are trying to do is erode base support for Donald Trump. And they know the fastest way to do that is to say, "see, he's not going to stick up for the wall," which was a major campaign promise.

So this morning before dawn, the president tweets out "well, we don't have a deal." Because he, you know, he's getting all kinds of grief on the right.

So I say to Beck today, number one, conservative commentators and Americans in general should see through this because this was a design by Schumer and Pelosi to hurt Trump and that's why they did what they did.

So here's how it's going to come down. Donald Trump, in order not to be a hypocrite, cannot do an executive order to decide what DACA is going to be. How are you going to handle eight hundred thousand kids? That's what President Obama did. He basically gave them amnesty.

Congress has to do it. The law will be written by the Republican majority in the House and the Senate. That's how it goes. So they're going to write a new law about how to deal with this part of the immigration mess. Trump can suggest, but he can't make law. So, that will come out before the end of the year, you would assume, and we'll see what it is.

Now, I agree the wall is not going to be in there because it's a game ender. No Democrat will vote for the wall. And a considerable number of Republicans won't vote for it either. So if you say we'll let the dreamers stay but you have to build the wall, it's not going anywhere. What the Republicans can get is more money for the border and beefed up enforcement inside the country.

E-verify, that would be great. So, if you hire somebody, you've got to verify that they're in the country legally. Any employer has to do that or it's a violation of federal law. Republicans could get that, I think. Not going to get the wall.

Well, OK. Now, you've got to accept it as Americans because this is our system. Not enough votes are going to come forth to build the wall. But that doesn't mean that Trump can't build it. He can. He can build it. Not from Brownsville to San Diego. Not going to go through Big Bend National Park, but he's already ordered the construction of wall in certain places. You can use homeland security money for that. There's a whole bunch of funding you can use for that. And you can do it. And it will be done. He has to do it. But it's not going to be this monolithic thing.

And, yeah, will Mexico pay for it? They're going to slap some kind of tariff on Mexico and say, "see, they're going to, we're going to use this money to pay for it." But it's not going to get through Congress that way. What is likely to happen is the 800,000 will have to go through some hoops and those with a clean record will probably be given working papers. In return, there'll be more money put for border enforcement and E-Verify will become federal law. Something like that. So everybody just calm down. We have to live within our system, OK.

But Donald Trump should learn a lesson that if he's going to entertain Nancy Pelosi and Charles Schumer, they're going to put out stuff that's going to hurt him probably. I mean, that's just the way it is.

Let's see. There are a set of prototypes for the wall already built in San Diego and El Centro. So there's stuff going on. There's stuff going on.

OK. Four countries won't take illegal aliens that are deported from the USA back. They are Cambodia, Eritrea, Guinea, and Sierra Leone in Africa. Eritrea, Guinea, and Sierra Leone are all in Africa. Cambodia is Cambodia, Southeast Asia. Very tiny countries. No infrastructure there. They're not taking them. So the US is going to slap sanctions on travel to and from those countries, I assume. Just want to give you an update that the Trump administration is pretty serious about this stuff. All right. That never would have happened under Barack Obama.

All right, here's an interesting story that caught my eye. Remember the Black Panthers. If you're a certain age... they organized in the late 60s, they were in Berkeley, California, that was their headquarters. There was a lot of trouble with the police. There were some murders. Some of the Panthers went to prison. Actually, I have a signed book by Huey Newton, one of the Black Panther leaders.

Anyway, the federal government, the National Park Service is going to give a research project 100,000 taxpayer dollars to honor the legacy of the Black Panther Party.

See this is the stuff that drives me crazy. That should never in a million years happen. It's just a drop. I understand it's a drop but it's not necessary. Even if you agree with the Black Panthers, which very few Americans do because it was a Marxist violent organization, you don't waste a hundred grand researching, you know, some dopey stuff. If somebody wants to do that privately, do it. OK.

Now this ties into the bigger story on the No Spin News tonight. The national debt. Now, I know... but I'm not going to make this boring. I know the debt is boring but we're going to liven it up so everybody understands.

So, the debt ceiling was frozen. OK, it was frozen. It was frozen at 19 trillion eight hundred and forty billion dollars. OK. Since mid-March. All right, so the debt ceiling, because Congress couldn't reach a spending agreement. So, as we heard last week, President Trump signed a bill that said we're going to lift the debt ceiling until December.

Right away, the debt in this country went to 20 trillion a hundred and sixty six billion and on and on. Right away, boom, overnight. First time in history the debt has exceeded 20 trillion dollars. OK. Now we can never pay this money back. What we have to pay, the United States, is the interest on the money. And that is going to cause all of us pain coming up.

All right, let's bring in Brian Riedl. He is a genius at the Manhattan Institute.

((Interview))

It's very interesting, and that's your debt deal. I get a lot of mail on that. I know it's not exciting but it's very important for people to know what's going on there. We'll take your letters about it if you want.

Now, the final story before we get to the mail, and we have some good letters today, is this ESPN thing. Now, we've gone over this, this Jemele Hill, young woman who was a sportscaster came out in a tweet and said that President Trump's a white supremacy and so are the people working for him.

OK. It's nonsense, we all know it's nonsense. And she got scolded by ESPN. But here's the problem. Curt Schilling, a former pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and former ESPN employee was fired because he put forth an offensive cartoon about a transgender person and was very vocal about the bathroom controversy. So they let him go but they didn't let Jemele Hill go.

OK. So you can draw your conclusions on why. But the facts are that ESPN has lost enormous audience because they've gone into left wing politics. And people like me, and I don't want Ms. Hill fired. I think that sets a bad precedent. I don't think Curt Schilling should have been fired. If I were the head of ESPN, which is owned by Disney, I would have suspended both of those people. Schilling, because the cartoon is pretty offensive, I have to say. And Ms. Hill because what she's saying is irresponsible. All right.

The president is not a white supremacist and if that's your opinion, OK. But as someone representing ESPN, it's responsible to say that kind of stuff. So I would have probably suspended both Schilling and Ms. Hill for a couple of weeks.

So Ms. Hill and other people who think that Donald Trump is a white supremacist are basing it on statements he made. Here's one in June 2015.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending us people that are going to be beneficial. They're sending people that have problems. They're bringing those problems to us. They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some, I assume, are good people. But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we're getting. And it only makes common sense. They're sending us not the right people."

OK, You can disagree with that. I disagree with that to some extent. I told Donald Trump that, that I think most illegal immigrants are really just trying to make a living. But he's talking about people in the drug trafficking world, people in the people trafficking world, coyotes who bring people in and abuse them, poor people.

I didn't like the statement. But it's not "all Mexicans are rapists," which is what the far left is portraying it as. That's not what this is.

Second statement. August 15th. Charlottesville. OK. The president is analyzing the brawl. The neo-Nazis started this. They showed up in Charlottesville to protest. Now, President Trump answers the question.

"Excuse me. They didn't put themselves, and you had very bad people in that group. But you also had people who were fine people on both sides."

On both sides he said that there were demonstrators who weren't bad people. The far left says, "he said there were neo-Nazis who were very fine people."

That's a lie. That's a lie, and that's what happens, see. So that's what Jemele Hill hears and reads because she's in that world. Now, we went over the Trump statement about neo-Nazis, I wrote a column on it, I'm not going to go over it again. But the misquoting and the demonization of not only Trump, but all people. I can't tell you how many times in my career my remarks have been taken out of context totally. And people who don't watch me or don't pay attention, I mean, they believe this garbage, particularly if they don't like Trump. So this is the problem here. And then you get it and it becomes a war and it becomes nasty and all that.

So I don't subscribe to Jemele Hill's view of the world. She's a black woman. I can't possibly know where she's coming from. I can't possibly experience life the way she does. I would not fire her. I would suspend her because she made the company look bad. All right. It's not her job to be a political commentator. She does have freedom of speech though.

All right. Let's get to the mail.

Ed Amato. East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

"Wow, just wow. Tonight's pod cast (this was last night) with the leftist media and obstructionist Democrats was very gloom and doom and that scares the living hell out of me."

OK. You need to know, I'm like Paul Revere, what's coming. Americans need to stand up and say we're not going to accept this far left view of the world. We're not. And that's why I'm reporting this to this extent.

Patricia Taylor.

"Thank you for the great Apple TV app that I really like, it's an added value to the already terrific podcast that membership provides."

Now, I'm going to tell you about what Patricia Taylor is talking about. We're Apple TV app. So you can see me on the big screen rather than the little screen. I don't know if that's a bonus or not.

Rich Browner. Waterbury, Connecticut.

"Good debate with Rich Noyes." I agree. "The pervasive media negativity towards Donald Trump may not be swaying opinions on the whole, but it's the youth they're after. I have a 25-year-old daughter who pays only enough attention to not appear ignorant. All she sees and hears is so heavily biased, she is incapable of forming an objective opinion about anything."

That is the strategy of the far left and the mainstream media. Wear you down. And unfortunately, many Americans, perhaps most, are not well-informed. If they were, they'd all be BillOReilly.com Premium Members, right?

Brooks Smith. Manson, Washington.

"I received Killing Patton when I became a Premium Member. I generally read your books on my Kindle. My question is what is the reading level of your children's books?"

Depends on the urchin. I'd say 10, you know, for the history books, which we have on sale at 50 percent off now. 10 and up. And they're good and they have lots of pictures. Kids will learn history. If your child doesn't know anything, get them The Day the World Went Nuclear. I mean, they need to know. And they'll be excited by it and then It'll get their interest in history.

George Drummey the third.

"My membership's one of the best investments I've ever made. I do want to correct you on one point, Bill. You and I are the same age. We're not old, we are vintage."

I don't know if I'm vintage. I mean, I don't consider myself old. I do everything that I've always done, perhaps a little slower, but I'm pretty quick on my feet still. Lucky. Good health. But I don't know if I'm vintage just yet.

John Scott. Oro Valley, Arizona.

"I'm concerned by the internet news services that mix opinion with hard news. Shouldn't they label opinions?"

Look, if you're getting your news from the internet, there are no rules anymore, John. And it's frightening. It really is frightening, and that's what's happening here. The television news is going down. Newspapers are going out of business. People are going over to the net and they don't know hard news from opinion from fake news or anything. It's chaos.

Don Huckstadt.

"Trump should link DACA to money for building the wall."

OK, we went over that in the opening talking points tonight. It's not going to happen. There's not enough votes. You know, if there were, he would. But there are not.

Monica. Richfield, Connecticut.

"Bill, my daughter and I went to Ireland a few weeks ago to celebrate our birthdays. We're both Premium Members. Thanks to the Wi-Fi on the tour bus, we were able to admire the beautiful countryside and listen to your podcast every day."

I am so jealous, Monica. You know, I'm going to Ireland again next summer, I hope. But I'm glad you can look at that countryside and then learn stuff at the same time.

Cathy in Memphis, Tennessee.

"Bill, I'm a tech challenged adult, although I was able to get you on Roku."

I'll explain in a minute. I don't know what Roku is but I have stuff written down that I can read to you.

Suzette. Goleta, California.

"I'm a President Trump supporter. I know the day is coming when someone will call me a Nazi or a white supremacist just because I voted for the president. I'm a sensitive educated person but really not into confrontation. What should I do?"

Walk away. Suzette, walk away. It's not worth it. I want you to be educated. I want you to have all the facts at your disposal. So in a civil setting, you can have an educated debate. But if somebody calls you a Nazi, bye. See you, that's it. They are not worth talking to.

Bob, Kansas City, Missouri.

"Bill, I think you over estimate the power of the mainstream media to drive opinion. I don't know anyone that forms their opinions based on anything said on the network news."

OK, but again, it's the constant drumbeat. Bang bang bang bang bang. All right. People hate me. All right. Why? They don't watch the show, they don't say what I say. They hear stuff.

Samuel, The Plains, Ohio.

"Bill, by the way, have you noticed the media coverage of Trump has softened lately?"

And that's because of the hurricanes. And I did notice and I pointed it out. The hurricanes diverted attention away from the stupid panels. They'll be back. MSNBC's ratings during the hurricane were very low. CNN had the best demographic. Fox had the best overall audience. But again, not a lot of people watched in comparison to previous disasters.

Gregory Ines. Gainesville, Florida.

"Bill, my lady and I have tickets and plan on being in Tampa on the 23rd for your show. Hints to what it will be about?"

So we will be in Tampa at the Amalie Arena a week from Saturday. Miller comes out first. He does stand up. You'll like it. I come out, I give you inside baseball about personalities and things that have happened in this country, stuff you'll never hear on TV or this podcast. I save it for the live shows. Then we have an intermission, then we take Q&A from the audience. We're going to have a very special presentation in Tampa. So we hope you will see us.

There are tickets available, a week from Saturday. Baltimore, we will be there a week from tomorrow, Friday night at the Royal Farms Arena. And we'll link you right over to the box offices if you want to see us. And it's well worth your time, I think. I think you'll have a good time.

Now, Killing England out next Tuesday. Please listen to the Beck interview. You need this information in Killing England about Washington and Jefferson and Franklin to ward off the far left marauders.

All right, here's the postscript stuff. My email is Bill@BillOReilly.com. So you can just send me a letter anytime you want, Bill@BillOReilly.com. Or you can go on the message boards, which all the Premium Members have.
