Ken Paxton may just be the luckiest man on Earth, or at least in Texas.  He should consider putting down two bucks for a Powerball ticket or maybe paying a visit to the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino along the Rio Grande.

Paxton, of course, is the Republican nominee to be the next U.S. Senator from Texas.  Largely because of President Trump’s endorsement, he ousted incumbent Senator John Cornyn in the GOP primary.  But many observers consider Paxton a truly lousy, wretched candidate.  His checkered past includes legal problems, moral failings, ethical lapses, and an overall record that would disqualify most people.  That’s where the luck comes in.  Much like landing an inside straight on the river card in Texas hold’em, Paxton drew as his opponent the most bizarre Senate candidate this side of Angie Nixon and Francesca Hong.

The corporate press is collapsing; the ratings are terrible. It’s actively advocating for the Democratic Party, which it should not be doing. If you’re only going to root for the home team, that’s not journalism.

 

The media is doing everything they can to help the progressives win the midterms. It’s painfully obvious to any fair-minded American.
